چکیده

Background: Pyroptosis is defined as programmed necrosis executed by gasdermin D or E (GSDMD GSDME), which punches cellular membrane. Morphologically, pyroptosis characterized cell swelling and membrane rupture, leading to the release of contents that triggers intense inflammatory response. More more studies have found may be involved in pathogenesis viral infection, a determinant for inflammation observed most diseases. Objective: This paper aims summarize roles infectious diseases provide potential drug targets treatment diseases, will contribute medical research public health. Measures: mainly summarizes occurring caused different viruses, including human immunodeficiency virus, hepatitis enterovirus, influenza virus dengue fever virus. Meanwhile, reported mechanism underlying mediating these also described. Conclusion: Current shown double-edged sword On one hand, leads pathogenic many aggravate tissue damage initiated blocking proptosis usually relieves inflammation, exerts therapeutic effects on other moderating can defense against pathogen infection releasing immune epitopes inducing antiviral

Novel viral vectors in infectious diseases

Since the development of vaccinia virus as a vaccine vector in 1984, the utility of numerous viruses in vaccination strategies has been explored. In recent years, key improvements to existing vectors such as those based on adenovirus have led to significant improvements in immunogenicity and efficacy. Furthermore, exciting new vectors that exploit viruses such as cytomegalovirus (CMV) and vesic...

Antisense antivirals: future oligonucleotides-based therapeutics for viral infectious diseases

Despite the availability of antiviral chemotherapies, human pathogenic viral infections remain a global health problem, causing formidable morbidity and mortality worldwide. Of particular concern are those virus types developing (multi)drug-resistance, eg. herpesviruses, hepatitis C virus (HCV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), that fail almost all the available antiviral drugs in clinic...

Bats: Carriers of Zoonotic Viral and Emerging Infectious Diseases

Bats are reported as reservoir host for several viruses, which cause significant illness in human and animals. Some of the bat transmitted zoonotic viral diseases such as Ebola, Hendra, Nipah and rabies may cause severe human casualties. They also harbor several other viruses such as MERS and SARS corona viruses, which may cause disease in human through direct spillover to human or through an i...
